- "Remember the last time you binged? The feeling of disgust, hate and shame afterwards. How you wanted to cry at the thought of setting back the day you would have your dream body? Looking at the labels and panicking at how many calories you shoved into your face? Of how you knew instead of being strong, having will power and being skinny, you chose to be fat? Now just remember that sinking feeling one last time.. Why in the world would you want to put yourself through that again?"
- Think about it. If you lose weight, you'll get all those comments about "You look like you've lost weight!" or "Are you okay?". If anything, that should motivate you to lose weight. You certainly don't want to be getting thoughts and looks like, "ooh, she's been eating too many donuts."
- Feelings are not directives. Just because you see a cute guy, do you fun up and kiss him? No! Eating just because the whim of it entered your head is just as irrational.
- You are not a dog. Don't reward yourself with food, especially after a workout.
- If you want to fly, you must give up what weighs you down.
- "A pleasure to the lips adds pounds to the hips." You don't want that, do you??
- Ana chose you. She honored you because she knows you are strong enough and have the willpower to be thin. Don't disappoint her.
- Think about it. Everyone you see eating is fat. You don't want to be like them.
- Think about those beautiful bony girls. Yeah, it’s easy to look like Meghan Trainor or Jennifer Lawrence. But to be thin – to be truly beautiful – takes discipline. Willpower. And that is what boys want to see. Not a gross gluttonous pig.
- Think about how incredibly gross you feel after, say, a 2,000 calorie binge. Greasy. Disgusting. It’s easy to binge, but it takes days to recover. Just don’t even go there. Plus, you always regret eating, but do you ever regret restricting? No!!

- Please don’t binge. You are so much better than that. Take time, before you eat, to think about what you are really hungry for. Sure, it’s waaay easier to just reach for the nearest yogurt or tortilla or granola bar and just mask your feelings, but what does that really do for you? It doesn’t solve your problems. It doesn’t make your homework magically get done. Bingeing only messes up your body and it increases your self hatred.
- Remember all the weight you lost just by cutting out carbs and sweets? 10 pounds!! Do that again and I swear you'll lose another 10!
- Calories cannot make you happy. But thinness can!
- You think you need to eat. But you don't. Yes, I suppose you could eat that. But you're not going to, because you're in control.
- You've come too far to take orders from a cookie.
Definite Don'ts
- Never go out with money, unless you have a specific thing you need to buy. This helps reduce the chance you will buy food on impulse.
Instead of giving in to those cravings, do one of the things below.
- Call a friend
- Eat a Diet Swiss Miss
- Drink tea
- Paint your nails
- Exercise!!
- Look at yourself naked in the mirror
- Do some homework
- Take a walk
- Journal or write something creative
- Chew gum
- Clean your room
If you absolutely must binge, eat foods you don’t like, such as carrots or celery. They are full of fiber and extremely low in calories. Nature has its own free diet food!
